The success of the BC Summer Games requires the support of the community especially volunteers.

Volunteers bring their enthusiasm, expertise, talents, abilities and most of all their willingness to work and contribute to youth sports while showcasing our community spirit.

BC Games volunteers ensure that citizens come together in a community celebration of pride and enthusiasm, that athletes have a quality multi-sport experience that will assist them as they continue through their development, and that coaches and officials gain experience and opportunities that will further develop sport in our province.

Volunteers work directly on the Games in the communities, as Directors, Committee Chairs, and as Games-time volunteers who perform various functions from reporting results, to running sport events, to serving food to participants.

The Township of Langley 2010 BC Summer Games needs approximately 4000 volunteers to help out in various areas. All available volunteer positions are listed within the online registration form. You will have an opportunity to select two choices of areas to volunteer in. Once you have registered, a Volunteer Management Chair will call you within a few weeks. This individual will confirm your information, your availability and further explain how you can help in the area you selected.

Volunteer Appreciation Event

All accredited volunteers are invited to attend this exciting event Monday July 26,  7-10:00 PM.  
We salute all of the hard-working dedicated volunteers who make the Games possible for the athletes. Sit back, relax, enjoy or get up and dance to the energetic  musical stage performance of the incredible Timebenders who will take you on a musical journey from the 50’s to the 80’s!
